Building Historian:
I’m a PhD student at the Institute for the Study of Welsh Estates (ISWE) researching an Elizabethan mansion called St Fagans Castle. Prior to this I did a masters degree in Building History at the University of Cambridge.
I have nine years experience of working as a Museum Assistant at St Fagans National Museum of History, an open-air museum full of historic buildings from across Wales. In the summer of 2021 I worked as an intern at SAVE Britain’s Heritage, who campaign to save buildings at risk of demolition or dereliction. I am currently the volunteer Events Officer for C20 Cymru, the representation of the Twentieth Century Society in Wales.
Building Illustrator:
I bring this expertise and passion for buildings to my illustrations, from choosing which buildings to depict to capturing every detail. Before pursuing building history I did a degree in architecture, which has influenced my three-dimensional approach to representing buildings and gardens. I sell prints and cards of my illustrations in my online shop and with various stockists in Cardiff.
Illustration clients include Yale University Press, Amgueddfa Cymru and Triglyph Books. I’m always interested in working with new clients and taking on new projects. Please get in touch if you have something in mind.
